Thanks to our mates at The Expedition Centre, the Mulgo pop top offers an easy, spacious sleeping area. Built from aluminium, the light-weight solid construction ensures that the off road capability of the original vehicle is not impacted. With full standing height within the vehicle, you can experience added privacy and superior comfort whatever the weather.
EASY TO USE
Featuring strong gas-struts and two release latches accessible from the inside, the Pop-top Roof is lifted in seconds. The rigid platform supporting the overnight bed can be lowered independently of the Pop-top Roof, thus allowing full standing height.
BEDDING
The comfortable 70mm dual layer, high density mattress measures 205cm by 120 cm. Your sleeping bags or doonas will remain in place while the roof is down, snuggly fitting into the space between the supporting platform and the roof.
As an upgrade The Expedition Centre exclusively offers the Swiss-Designed Fanello Bed. With its timber slats and patented latex cushions, you will have the best possible support and most comfortable sleep. Together with the 70mm dual layer mattress it gives you a total of 120mm of cushioning.
CROSS VENTILATION
Windows on both sides as well as at the back allow sufficient aeration. All windows are covered with mosquito nets, and can be closed from the inside using the Velcro® lining. The large windows allow for panoramic views from your bed.
FULL WEATHER PROTECTION
Using high-tech canvas Airtex®, a light-weight, extremely durable and breathable material, and quality seals ensure the vehicle is fully weather tight.
FUEL EFFICIENT
The low profile and integrated, light-weight construction of the aluminium Pop-top Roof ensures that the aerodynamic properties of your vehicle are minimally impacted, thus ensuring that the change in fuel efficiency of your car is not noticeable. The conversion only adds 35mm to the overall height of the vehicle.
LOADING SPACE
The Mulgo V1 Poptop roof is made from Aluminium chequer plate. The Mulgo V2 Poptop roof has a plain aluminium frame (factory colour matched to your vehicle) and an aluminium chequer plate insert. With the standard tie down rails fitted, the roof can be used as a roof rack to transport additional gear. No additional racking system is needed.
ENGINEERING CERTIFICATE
At Odyssey Custom Fitouts we have WA Department Of Transport Type Approval for the Mulgo Pop Top. Once the Pop Top is fitted, we fit a modification plate then the vehicle needs to go over the pits for inspection. * Please make sure vehicle is road worthy for the inspection *.

V1 features a full checker plate roof, whereas V2 features a factory finish outer perimeter colour matched to your vehicle and a checker plate insert on the top.

The fanello bed can be upgraded after installed, however it would be a costly procedure as the bed frame is all attached and it would require a whole new frame.

Absolutely! Although designed for two, it is still comfortable for one if wanting to sleep more centred on the bed.

Both roofs add about 90k to the overall weight of the vehicle, this includes bed and mattress.

The added height measured from the gutter is 35mm, that includes the tie down rails we fit to the roof. However very often the overall height of the Troopy is increased by less than that as we are adding some weight to it which will obviously lower the suspension.
